The Park

I’m here at the park…again.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child.

I swam here back when it was a beach.

I played countless baseball games in the field.

I’ve swung so high on the swings I felt like I was flying.

I’ve attended countless parties here.

My own graduation party was here.

I started coming on my own, to find peace, when I first got divorced. I’d leave work and sit at the park with Marina (my little poodle.)

I went to the park with friends.

I went to the park with ex’s.

I’ve taken countless hikes.

Erik and I brought the dogs to the dog park.

Erik and I got married here in front of the water.

I bring the kids here to play all the time.

We take our family photos here.

Now, for the last month or so, I’ve been sneaking off here 2-3 times a week to find a cozy spot to practice 30 minutes of Kundalini.

It’s kind of my spot.

One thing we can count on is like the leaves on the trees, life changes fast.

This little slice of heaven, has been a pleasant constant for me.

I don’t really have a lot of wisdom or a deep point to make.

Just gratitude.

“He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”
